With over 27 years professional experience in entertainment as an actor, producer, writer and talent coordinator, I've had the honor of working with many high end clients and fellow skilled performers at top venues within and outside of the U.S.. My performance as JOAN RIVERS has spanned over 18 years, receiving many wonderful reviews and accolades! Much more than just a costumed character, I briefly research each company's background, and discuss the event with their representative, to incorporate a bit of personalized material in my interviews and hosting duties. It's high-energy comedy improvisation mixed with written material reflecting JOAN and the client's information. TERRI is a formally trained stage actress from Berkeley, California, and has successfully made her living in the field of entertainment for 27 years. As a member of SAG, AGVA and AFTRA she has earned credits in Film, Television, Stage, Voice-Over, Video Producer, Freelance Writing and Stand-Up Comedy. But, her greatest love is working for, and playing with, a Live Audience! She dazzles the guests as they enter on the Red Carpet, then adds the frosting to the cake when she returns to present during Awards Ceremonies, corporate presentations or a VIP Roast!

Miss Navarra has followed Joan's career from her early days in the club scene as a sell-out stand-up comic, met her during Joan's late night talk show run, and up to her carpet interviews and numerous appearances. Over the years, Terri has recreated her costumes and style along with Joan, but continues to honor the semi-legend best by making people laugh... she can bring it on!

Her love and admiration for the ground breaking female comediennes such as, Phyllis Diller, Audrey Meadows, Gracie Allen, Carmen Miranda, Lily Tomlin, and of course, JOAN RIVERS, led her to study and "bring back" ALL of these amazing funny women for audiences to enjoy once again! Never stopping with just a costume, she brings the energy, attitude and physicality that best represents the essence of her characters-adding in an 'extra dose' of comedy which allows her to quickly connect with a large number of guests.

As well as a highly trained stage actress and improvisational artist, she is also a freelance comedy writer, editor and ghostwriter. Drawing on her many years of theatrical experience, she "walks the walk" and "talks the talk" as the great diva, Miss Rivers... and audiences love the energy and laughter she brings to every show!

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Berkeley, Ca., Terri began her entertainment career as a stage actor and award winning poet in the San Francisco bay area. Chosen as, 'Best Actor' in a statewide scholarship competition, she came to southern California and earned her performing arts degree at prestigious U.C Irvine, graduating top of her class. Her well-rounded education, along with her inherent creativity and resourcefulness has made her an excellent performer, as well as a versatile project manager for a variety of projects in the field of entertainment. From performing Shakespeare in the park, painting creature suits, writing celebrity memoirs to hosting shows in Las Vegas, her professional work as an actor, writer, director and acting coach now spans twenty-five years.

First jobs in Los Angeles included writing & performing shows for Universal Studios, audience warm-up for TV shows, guest spots on General Hospital and Rick Dees Top 40 radio show, and joke writer for some now-famous stand-up comics. More recent work includes, "A Christmas Carol" at the Edgemar Theater in Santa Monica, comedy spots for Jimmy Kimmel Live and "E" Entertainment Channel, a long running internet radio show, and show emcee at The House of Blues, The Grove at Anaheim, Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, LV. Most rewarding performances of late: Comic host for the ALS foundation's 'Walk-To-Defeat' awards night and playing the Wicked Witch of the West for Jim Carey's Halloween celebration.

As a professional writer, Terri easily switches gears with credits encompassing in-store advertising videos, script analysis and book reviews for Random House; editing manuscripts for a top Beverly Hills company, material for web marketing, book cover design, speech writing, radio spots, poetry, sketch comedy and satire, and ghostwriter for independent projects. Her most challenging writing projects included the biography of a Hungarian Holocaust survivor, and best-selling hardcover, "Love Alice," with the amazingly brilliant Audrey Meadows.

Using her bold talents as an actor, writer and improve comic, she also runs her own successful entertainment company, Masquerade Characters & Casting. For eighteen years Masquerade has provided professional variety talent for major studio and corporate special events across the country, receiving consistent reviews of, "very entertaining and very professional!" Terri performs live regularly at top venues such as, Paramount Studios, and the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. In the new millennium, she has added theatrical costume designer, makeup artist, performing arts enrichment teacher, as well as acting and public speaking coach for adults and children, to her work credits.
