Akil Bennett is a Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer based in Houston, Texas. He started off as a videographer, filming weddings as a means to pay his tuition. After receiving his B.A. in Film Production from the University of Houston, he noticed that some of the same principles of film applied to photography as well. The lighting, composition, and aesthetics were all the same. In the process, he has discovered still photography as another avenue for the expression of his art.
"When I'm shooting, I try to capture the natural elements throughout the day that appeal to me and make me feel good inside. By focusing on the little things that attract me to people, I capture their inner beauty. Your images throughout the day should ultimately tell a story, and become a distinctive reminder of the chemistry shared between a bride and groom on their wedding day."
