As a cum laude graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design with a BFA in photography, I have a strong background in photography, color and design. Since beginning my freelance career in 2004, I have worked steadily for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, the glossy Rochester Magazine, Her magazine, and shot assignments for publications including the Toronto Star, NextStep magazine, and CSNews. I began photographing weddings with Luke Walker Photography, and now run my own wedding photography business while still working as a freelance photojournalist. The variety between weddings and journalism keeps me on my toes and helps me maintain a fresh approach.
With an artistic photojournalistic style, my goal is to create beautiful images that tell the story of your unique wedding day. I typically arrive to photograph the bride getting ready (one of my favorite things to photograph!) and stay through the reception in order to capture the event from start to finish. As a professional photojournalist, I am accustomed to working in an unobtrusive manner, which results in photographs showing authentic emotion and real moments. I personally design the album you choose and work with you to create a classic heirloom for you and your loved ones to cherish.
