Zef Nikolla was born, raised and educated in New York City. Zef’s photography career began nearly a decade ago, shortly after which Zef acquired his first digital camera (which embarrassingly was a Canon Powershot G1, haha, all laugh and point) and began applying digital photo editing techniques. He graduated from NYU with a B.S. in Communication Studies and a concentration in Photography and Graphic Design. From there, his craft took off via a combination of full-time and freelance works, enhanced by his passion for his work and quest to perfect his processes and results.
His skills naturally lend themselves to portraiture and event photography but they are also adaptable and tailor to a multiplicity of genres. Arty, tasteful, polished, dynamic and moving are only some words that can describe his work. He manages to extract the qualities of his subject to make a still moment come to life.
