My story is simple; I love people, I love traveling, and I love photographing them both. Photographs of friends and family help me remember times of happiness and celebration as well as times of disappointment and grief that I have experienced with them. I relive those moments through those photographs. I not only want to remember events but I want to remember that day. I want to remember the voices of my friends and family. I want to remember my thoughts, my feelings, and why that photograph was even taken.

Photographs also help me remember history. A photograph will introduce me to my grandmother and my grandfather for the first time. A photograph will show my history and where it all began. A photograph will even introduce me to myself coming home for the very first time. No event or moment is insignificant or irrelevant. Every moment matters and lasts forever.

This is why I love photographing weddings. Wedding ceremonies represent not only the joining of two families but they also represent two individuals fused together when they declare their love and commitment at, “I DO.” The importance to this event is in the effort that the bride, friends, and family make to help create this magical moment. No detail is left unnoticed. The Bride will constantly think about her day because of its importance to her. She will always talk about it every chance she can get because of its importance to her.

Photographs of the moments of that day are important because of what that day represents to not only you and your family but what that day will represent to your children.
