My Philosophy

I try to capture the pure, uninhibited moment in whatever event I may be shooting. When I am shooting, I try to get the photo without the subject being aware I am taking pictures. This candid style lends itself to a more natural, realistic shot. Children seem to be the best subjects when it comes to this. They are unaware of the surroundings and just go about their natural emotions and actions. I favor the the use of the long telephoto lens when I shoot. This technique allows me to single out my subject. With a long lens, the subject is in sharp focus and it allows to tell their story.

My Biography

I live in sunny Moorpark, CA with my beautiful wife Cody. I lived here for most of my adult life. I have seen the community grow and develop into a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I have had an interest in photography for many years ever since my father let me borrow his Olympus SLR film camera. I eventually went on to study film production at Cal State Northridge. Even after getting into motion picture business, I always had a longing for still photography. Where ever I went, I always had a camera with me. This hobby eventually led me to photographing weddings for friends. After getting positive feedback on my work. I decided to pursue this new direction in my life.
