VOCALIST & CLARINETIST
Kim Chamberlain is a seasoned professional perfomer who dazzles her audience with her vocal stylings of jazz favorites. Whether she is skating over a swift upbeat version of "Lullaby of Birdland" or adding her sultry rich tones to "Round Midnight", Kim engages her listeners. She instinctively knows how to transmit the essence of the song through the lyric and the melody. Kim is available as a soloist to work in small clubs or for private engagements. She works steadily with her guitarist husband, David in a jazz duo called Jazz Puree which features classic jazz standards from the great American songbook. She also plays clarinet and flute and adds a sweet instrumental sound to the mix.
WEDDING MUSIC & OTHER SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS
When it comes to weddings, and other special celebrations, Kim adds a personal touch because she personally meets with the client beforehand to plan the musical portion of the event. She helps the client select just the right repertoire for the occasion and she puts the client at ease by working within the budget. She assists the client in choosing the right sized ensemble for the event. Whether you want a duo for small intimate settings or a swing band for a large corporate party, Kim can provide the perfect band for your needs.
REPERTOIRE
Kim has an extensive repertoire of both jazz and classical favorites for preludes, processionals and recessionals. Kim can also sing classical favorites for weddings such as the time-honored Ave Maria or add a special request for candle-lighting moments during the wedding ceremony.
For the reception, Kim can provide a duo, trio or larger ensemble for an evening of swing tunes and favorite jazz standards for dining and dancing.
