THE ROUTE 66 BIG BAND performs as a 16-piece dance band featuring music with the “Big Band Sound of the Swing Era”. This great, swinging band's repertoire consists of the classic and authentic big band hits as well as standards from later decades. Tunes by such greats as Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Count Basie among others.
ROUTE 66 has a very large and loyal following earned over the past 20+ years from our appearances at many corporate, civic and private functions all over the Seattle and Puget Sound area. This group can make any occasion special and have had a lot of experience performing for special events. Our lovely and very talented vocalist, Cindy Solvang, add a special touch of glamour and excitement to the music. Cindy has had many years of experience performing all over the United States and abroad. She has a singing style that is especially well suited for swing music. Robert Yetter, our personable and gregarious leader is an excellent MC. He will help coordinate announcements and other special activities. Everything to make your party memorable.
