www.fredpaynebagpiper.com During his more than 40 years of piping, Fred has played for countless weddings, memorials, retirements, birthday parties, and many other events. He is a 3 time Western U.S. Champion Soloist since 2002 at contests sanctioned by the Western U.S. Pipe Band Association (WUSPBA) and won many awards throughout California and Arizona. Past Pipe Major of The Central Coast Pipes & Drums. Currently a member of the Monterey Bay Pipe Band and Bushmill's Irish Pipers Of San Francisco. Member of the Walter B. Truman Pipe Band of Santa Barbara 1966 - 1975. Teaching bagpipe playing since 1971. Currently accepting students. Fred plays 1967 Henderson Bagpipes, made in Edinburgh, Scotland, one of the very best instruments available. For intimate settings he plays Scottish Smallpipes by Walsh.
