I am Dr. James B. Harrison. I have been married for 26 years to my beloved Sylvia. We have four children, James Jr., Jennell, Joshua, and Josiah. I am the senior pastor of Visions of God Christian Fellowship in San Diego, CA. I have pastured for over twenty years. I have performed wedding ceremonies and marriage services throughout cities in San Diego, California and other parts of the United States.

I so love the institution of the marriage relationship with such passion. During my undergraduate and graduate studies in the late 1980’s, I wrote my BA thesis and PH.D. dissertation on the marriage relationship. It has been my joy as an officiant of wedding ceremonies and marriage services to receive outstanding responses from different people after weddings such as;
“I wish you had performed at my wedding”,
“You bring such meaning and understanding to the marriage ceremony”,
“I enjoyed and appreciated your passion and expression during the wedding service”, &
“Thank you for being our officiant."

The Wedding Ceremony
This is one of the most heart-felt important, beautiful, and committed loving decisions in the life of a man and woman. I seek to help you make their wedding ceremony an intimate affair between the bride and the groom.

During the entire marriage service, as your officiant, reverend, minister, my focus is to make this a beautiful experience between a bride and a groom as well as the guests present. During all aspects of the marriage service such as: the processions, the welcoming of guests, the words of love, the acknowledging of vows, special songs, the exchanging of rings, the unity candle, a poem, prayers, the introduction of husband and wife and less or more. I will passionately seek to express the miracle of love and commitment expressed by the bride and groom becoming one.
