Absolutely stress free. The staff of the Market Street Inn will attend to every detail of your day, including incredible food by one of Wilmington's top caterers, Occasions Catering. If you desire, we can assist you with beautiful floral designs by the Market Street Inn's owner, Jim Thomas, and a gorgeous and delicious cake of your choice by co-owner Brian Ross. We even have one of Wilmington's favorite DJ's, Scott Huckstep on our staff to provide you with just the right music for the occasion. In addition, there will be no need to worry about party rentals, as our sister company, Cape Fear Party Rentals, will handle all your rental needs. We will accommodate all your alcohol needs as well. Our wedding consultant will take you step by step through the planning process to make sure your day is the wedding day of your dreams.

About the inn...

The Market Street Inn originally opened in 1975 in the Herbert Bluethenthal House. The Georgian style mansion was built in 1917 and was one of the original homes in the Mansion District .It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The inn is conveniently located a few blocks from Downtown, ten minutes from the Airport and twenty minutes from Wrightsville Beach. The 5500 sq ft home is situated on one acre of gorgeous mature landscaping with great outdoor areas for relaxing and entertaining. ,Our five beautifully appointed guest rooms boasts period antiques as well as contemporary modern and eclectic furnishings, all with private baths. Fantastic formal areas, reception hall, 2 sunrooms and has been beautifully maintained.

In 2007, current owners Jim Thomas and Brian Ross purchased the property and reopened the Inn offering a unique venue for weddings, rehearsal dinners, cocktail parties, corporate and charity functions.
