My story with photography began before I was born. My dad always kept a camera handy to photograph us kids as we grew. Years later my mom handed the camera down to my husband. He tucked that special camera away; it was rarely used.

Having children tends to rearrange our priorities and reconnect us with our history. After my first child was born, I realized it was time to learn how to use that heavy, beautiful instrument. This became one of the best decisions of my life, as it created a gateway to my passion for art. Photography classes were priceless in teaching me the fundamentals of color, composition, and contrast. For the next few years, through trial and error, my photography skills improved. Believe it or not, my husband, who was never interested in the camera, even built a darkroom for me!

I’ve been invited to share wonderful moments with couples as they marry, and families hoping to capture a moment in time. I’m truly blessed share the art of photography with you.

Wedding rates begin at a low price for 6 hours of photography. You also receive a complimentary engagement photo session and 100 images of the wedding proofed. After my editing is complete you will receive approximately 500 images archived to a CD along with a copyright release.

My style is photojournalistic, your day will be documented with distinctive style. My strength is capturing those fleeting spontaneous moments.
