Portrait Photographers

Harry Pocius was born in Brasil and began is photographic career in the early 80's. With original aspirations of being a writer, he purchased a camera on a whim and never looked back. His attraction to the craft was immediate and over the next decade, he immersed himself in photography studies in a multitude of varied institutes. He started at the Center for the Media Arts in NYC, attended Ohio University for two years, and then moved back to New York City to attend the Art Student's League for an additional two years.

Harry is primarily drawn to commercial photography, having shot for magazines like Budget Living, Time Out New York, and Life. With children of his own, Harry revels in the joy, discovery, and ability to capture families as they grow together. He delights in newborn, toddler, and child photography and specializes in family portraits, model portfolios, and location portraiture.
