Photographers

am a photographer living in the North Texas area near Dallas. A love of photography is a Holland family tradition reaching back to the early 1900's. Clifton Holland, my grandfather was a country photographer in rural Tennesse from the mid 1920's until his passing in the late 1960's. Clifton passed along his love of photography to my dad, Harvey. Dad never made any money from photography but spent his entire life snapping the shutter at every opportunity.

In 2005 my family suffered the tragic loss of my father. It was a great blow to all of us. Prior to Dad's death photography was something that had always been in the background for me. When Dad died photography's grip on me strengthened. A therapy of sorts, I imagine. I began photographing at weddings shortly after and it clicked with me. I absolutely love it. I would be thrilled if you would take the time to look through the images in my galleries.

My formal education is actually in music. Mom is to thank for that. She is an amazing classical pianist. I began playing the trumpet at the age of ten. After High School I was very fortunate to attend the Eastman School of Music going on to play trumpet in the Air Force and the Virigina Symphony before relocating to Texas in 2001.

Photography is an art unique in its ability to place memories in a vault . When you hire a photographer to document a once in a lifetime occassion you bestow upon them a great responsibility. Your trust will be well placed in me.
