Enter through the privacy gates to five lush, tropical acres and the largest waterfront estate in all of South Florida, boasting over 1,300 feet of waterfront. In addition to the New River frontage of over 400 feet, the property hosts its own private inlet which can accomodate yachts up to 100 feet. The estate is surrounded by beautiful coral walls and 10ft. tall ficus hedges.
Designed by the renowned architect Donald Singer the mansion is approprietly dubed the Fortress for its imposing size and build. The structure is made up entirely of concrete block and reinforced steel. Featured on 60 Minutes as the first confiscated estate, it was bought at auction and extensively remodeled.
Directly off the mansion is the oversized pool complete with custom Italian lead water fountain, accompanying the pool is the cabana, which is made up of marble and glass block. The cabana has a seperate shower, both indoor and out. Also available for your enjoyment is a wet bar, plasma TV and pool area surround sound.
Take a short walk down the brick drive to the lanai, which features a full bougainvillea wall of flowers, bamboo blinds and sheer drapery for your privacy. Inside the cabana is comfortable seating and a pillowtop hammock. Everything you need is here, including refrigerator, wet bar, plasma TV and surround sound.
There are three other terraces off the Fortress, all with french tumble marble and comfortable patio seating. There are two grills on property. The large acreage can accomodate helicopter landings and numerous tents hosting well over 1,000 guests.
The estate is primarily offered for outdoor functions, however we do offer small tours of the first floor to view the concrete block and reinforced steel structure, and the Singer design. Limited use of the first floor is negotiable, there is a private dining room available for small dinner parties, up to 12 persons.
