Youngpiper - Bagpiper For All Events - Bagpipe Players
Keep an ear open for the distant sounds of the bagpipes when out and about. It may be me practicing in a park or playing for someone’s celebration!!!

When I have appeared at various events as a bagpiper, many people have asked me, “How did you come to play bagpipes?” It all started one summer back in 2000 when I was visiting my Grandparents in South Lake Tahoe. They enthusiastically told me about a neighbor that played the bagpipes. Naturally, with curiosity for the instrument and love for the sound, I asked to meet this person. It turned out that this piper was an incredible player that shared his passion for the instrument. This piper offered incredible support for a new inquisitive beginner, along with the knowledge of an Army Reserve Pipe Band for which he was formally a member. The situation was perfect because I was already in the US Army Reserve and could probably initiate a transfer request. I wanted to find out some more information. The Band was the 91st Division Band from Camp Parks, Dublin, CA and the path was set.

Services
The sound of the bagpipes can make a great addition to most any event. Here are just a few of the common types of events that I may play, but the options are limitless.

Weddings - Bagpipes can provide a superb addition to any wedding ceremony. Imagine the sound of a beautiful slow air being played as the bride walks down the aisle to meet her future husband. As the ceremony wraps up, the couple can be paraded out with the uplifting sound of a march proclaiming the beginning of a new life together. Bagpipes also make a wonderful signal of the entry of a newly married couple as they enter the reception area.

Birthdays – Do you have a loved one that has rich Scottish blood coursing through their veins? Surprise them with the unmistakable excitement and cheer of Scotland the Brave being played on bagpipes. How about a rendition of Happy Birthday as played on the Bagpipes? The day will long be remembered and talked about.

Events/Parties – Is your company celebrating the retirement of a long time valued employee? Surprise them with the sound of the bagpipes. Do you have a corporate event that needs a little something special? Why not lead the head table in with a piper? Kick off a sports tournament with a lead in of participitants by a bagpiper. Then hear America the Beautiful as played on bagpipes (sorry, the National Anthem cannot be played on the great highland pipes as we don’t have enough notes).

Memorial Service – Is it the last wish of a loved one to be honored by the sound of Amazing Grace as played on the bagpipes? Do you want to provide the distant haunting sound of bagpipes as family/friends arrive? Honor a veteran by the sound of the Army Song or the Marine Hymm on bagpipes. Let me assist you with this hard and emotional time with the stirring sounds of the bagpipe.
