THE ROYAL COURT

Some people who do storytelling become animated and use gestures to invite audiences to enjoy their storytelling.

My storytelling without stages is with puppetry, magic, props, participation. I find it more exciting.

People often wonder, when a person operates a marionette string puppet, how can they have a story with just one puppeteer and operate more then one marionette at a time.

In Cabaret, usually one is done at a time and each marionette comes on one at a time, and does an act or vignette.

Western style builders, usually use one at a time, some are innovative enough to use two. English style can make two walk out together. Some I string together and others not. With a combination of hand puppets, marionettes, and, vignettes ( little skits) it is not just one story.

Miss Carol has been been doing her Magical Puppetime shows for twenty years. She does make all her own puppet marionettes, and hand puppets, and all puppet innovations. I usually sculpt them in soft clay and then cast them in plaster of paris. After, I have to separate the mold, which leaves the impression of the figure, such as a head of a hand, or foot. Later, I take out the soft clay and then I pour in whatever medium, or compound I wish to use. Usually, it is Flexible Slip, sometimes, it is latex, and it can also be other things. Other puppets and marionettes are done with fabric scuplture some are plush, and others cast. Over twenty years of building puppets, I have quite a collections. Carol has been working with children for over thirty years in enrichment, as a music specialist, in theatre arts, puppet making, arts and crafts. I can help you to plan your parties, I have a Bachelor or Arts in Recreation Admin. I also have a Public Affairs and Services Credential and Adult Education Teaching Credential. The programs are fun for children and adults together. I have a Nanny Certificate. I feel like Mary Puppets, and my magic bags of tricks.

For a Royal Princess, or a Noble Knight to be dubbed on crowned on their special day. The kings and queens wanted to rein over their kingdoms and be royalty. They did not want the children to know that wizards and enchantresses knew the fairy world existed. They wished to keep it secret and so they would have be in power. Bring your special other maidens, princesses, other knights, and or your fairy good friends to the Royal Court and make watch the magic happen. Meet The Enchantress who does White Magic, Also meet the Court, Announcer, the Jester, the Fairy God mother, the royal court clown who juggles, if he drops anything better tell the queen. Also, enjoy the court players, the gypsy dancer, the cat and the fiddle, the dog with his piano, he is to stop tickling fleas, and to ticket the keys, then enjoy, the muses, the fairies, the gnomes, pixies and, wizard, the dancing royal cake and the singing royal tea. Meet the princess of the sea, near the mote, Finderella, a dragon and perhaps Mozarella the mouse, as to tales of the hole in the wall, when she moved in the giant's boot, and, Mozarella would like to be a princess. Meet Felicitea, the Princess. Sing, dance, clap along, and, learn to work a marionette. Enjoy her original handcrafted hand puppets and marionettes. Children learn to work a marionette and they can dance with a princess and a jester, and have their pictures taken.

From Folklore, Rhyme to Fairytale :

When Paul Bunyan, a giant with his ox named Blue cut down the trees in the forest so people could have more places to live, the animals did not have homes to live in: Mysie Mouse, moved in his smelly old boot. She was a Little Old Lady who lived in a shoe and she had so many children, they cried PU!.The animals, the mouse in order to get help meet a fairy, taken from Miss Carol's Adaptation of The Russian Fairytale.

What is a Cabaret Marionette show ?
Have you ever heard of someone making a mistake and instead stumbling on an invention? That everyone became interested in? That then became popular ?

A famed Puppeteer, named, Frank Paris once went to a performance. he brought all his marionettes, and completely forgot his stage. Instead of disappointment the audience was so enthralled, that the marionette puppets seemed more real and more life like. The marionettes:

then performed acts like people or animals would in a variety show. Each act is called a vignette That is why many Marionette Cabaret Puppeteers do not use a stage and use just a little curtain

Miss Carol uses a stage in an innovative way, incorporating it secondarily to the show and the interaction. As: The children want to put on the show

The Bluebird
The mice go looking for the Bluebird, who was a magical bird. They go on adventures to find her. They thought perhaps she flew South for the Winter. The Fairy gives them a crystal to help them see inside the essence of things. Also for them to find their way. Join them in their adventures to find The Bluebird, who is a magical bird. She makes magic, she can make things appear and everything seemingly comes to life, everything becomes magical, the cake comes to life, the tea, the dog, the cat. Have the Bluebird of Happiness bring happiness to you at your next party or event.

LITTLE COUNTRY JAMBOREE:
Meet Henrietta, Little White Hen and Rusty Rooster. For those who love Old McDonald's Farm. Come to a country farm: Country Mouse who lived in the Cowboy's Boot, and enjoy the magic. Meet the Country Pig, who has his gal sow, learn to dance the can can. Enjoy ragtime dancers, and, the cat and how she plays her fiddle, the country dog who did not just howl, he sings and plays an old piano. Also, how is it that Henrietta lost her tail feathers. Help the farmer's wife to find them to magically clean the house to get ready for your party at the barn. Also, put on animal finger puppet, and enjoy the puppet costume apron and, help do a rope trick, to bring the cow back to the barn. We need a farm hand. The Children help, sing, dance, clap along and help with the magic, go to the bake sale and, see how the eggs are magically appearing, and, should Humpty Dumpty win the contest. We need the best egg to make your magical cake, that dances with old fashioned wooden spoons. Also enjoy the country circus clown. Dance with us and do a square dance, and shake a tail feather. Also, do magic to help us around the farm.

Miss Carol can change magically into a barn, a tea party, a ragtime show, a fairy god mother, a fairy. From sew on and sew forth and enjoy her magical sewing box, with miniature marionettes as to Jack Be Thimble, Thimblina, and, sew on and sew forth.

Carol has been working with children for over thirty years. She is a specialist in enrichment. She was also a music and art therapist. Carol also, has been making crafts for years, and built her own puppets to teach children about the world around them in music. Since 1988. That is how she formed Magical Puppetime. She has been entertaining for twenty years. She makes all her own puppet marionettes, hand puppets, rod, glove, and arm puppets, also, finger puppets, puppet aprons, and props and innovations. She is also a musician and composes music and found the that singing with puppets rather then live musicians, the puppets never over played too loudly. Also, they get to band rehearsal on time.

She also worked with senior citizens in music and art enrichment and also performed shows for them, as well as for children with special needs as to special populations. My shows are also great for bi lingual children because many of the shows are visual, musical, and one does not have to really speak English to enjoy certain shows. That is also why they also work great with very young children. I would love to assist you with your next party of event.
