Jim Felds - Keyboard A native of Oakland, CA, Jim studied classical piano from age of 5 in Long Beach, NY. At age 8 he studied with Dr. Ralph Dale, chair of the music department of Fairleigh Dickinson University. Jim moved onto jazz studies at age 10 and by the age of 13 he was studying with Danny Hurd, Chita Riveras accompanist and jamming at local bar mitzvahs with Dannys band, which at the time featured Dizzy Gillespie and other jazz greats.

Jeff Simmons - Tenor Saxophone A native of Atlanta, GA, Jeff graduated from the University of Georgia, B.M. 1988 in Music Ed., cum laude, and the University of South Carolina, M.M. 1996 in Saxophone Performance. Jeff studied saxophone with Dr. Ken Fischer and Roger Pemberton. He studied arranging, composition and jazz theory with Dick Goodwin and Bert Ligon.

Chris Ackerman - Trumpet A graduate from Univeristy of Arizona with a masters from Northwestern University, Chris is an accomplished musician, performer, teacher, and conductor. As a conductor, he has served as guest conductor and clinician for Duplin, Brunswick, and Pender counties' all-county bands and adjudicated the Eastern District's Solo/Ensemble Festival as well as the Middle School Band Festival for the North Carolina Bandmasters' Association.
