The Queen City Quartet-Deidre Wolfe, Carolyn Riggins, Debbie Wilson and Pete Silk are teachers with musical talent. This foursome has combined their varied musical skills to form the Queen City Quartet, a group of educated entertainers who leave the classroom for the stage every chance they get.
If you like the music of the 30's, 40's and some 50¹s/60's, you'll love this group of talented musicians as they take you back in time to the USO canteen and treat you to the sounds of the BIG BANDS. Add some Boogie Woogie, Honky-Tonk, sing a-longs and a little Broadway and you¹ll have a fun, toe tapping time!
The Queen City Quartet highlights our military with their special Patriotic Tribute and close harmonies on your best loved songs. You sing and dance along with memories of great bands, girl groups and solos. You¹ll leave their show singing and reminiscing all the way home.
On special occasions the group becomes The Queen City Quintet with the talent of Jeff Hall. His information is included.
Debbie Wilson, founder of group, professional musician and educator over 25 years. Debbie has notched several summer gigs on cruise lines, published a musical melodrama, worked on varied recording projects and directs musical theatre. Wilson has a piano duo, ³Four Hands Down²: four hands on one piano, which plays throughout the mid south.
Debbie is a high school choral director. Graduate of Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN and Murray State University, Murray, KY
Carolyn Riggins, program assistant for group, professional musician and educator over 30 years. Carolyn has performed and directed in several regional musical theatre venues. Riggins has been guest adjudicator for several state vocal and choral festivals in the southeast. Carolyn is a high school choral director and hand bell director for two local churches.
Graduate of Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN
Deidre Wolfe, professional musician and educator over 6 years. Deidre performs with the Nashville Symphony Chorus and the Chamber Singers. Wolfe has appeared in several opera productions at Austin Peay State University.
Deidre is a middle school choral director. Graduate of Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN
Pete Silk, professional musician. Pete lends considerable percussion talent to the Queen City Quartet mixture. Silk spent 22 years as a percussionist in the U.S. Army Band. In retirement, Silk teaches private drum lessons and works as a private contractor.
Special Guest-
Jeff Hall, professional musician over 20 years. Jeff's credits include Opryland, USA, New York Choral Society and several venues in the Los Angeles area. Hall is events coordinator at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville.
Jeff is also a
church choral director. Graduate of Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN
