Some Frequently asked questions are as follows;

#1. What Kind of Chocolate is Used with the Fountain?
We use a type of chocolate called "couverture" (a French word for 'coating'), which is a higher quality chocolate that contains 32-39% cocoa butter. In addition to creating a better 'flow', it assures a higher quality appearance as well as taste.

#2. What is the Maximum Number of Guests that the Chocolate Fountain will Serve?
Our Large fountain package includes 22lbs of Chocolate (well enough for 150 to 200+ guests) The Medium fountain package includes 15lbs of chocolate (enough for about 75 to 100 guests), and the Small fountain package includes 7.5lbs of chocolate (enough for up to 50 guests) Additional chocolate can be purchased if needed, and we will always have an adequate supply on hand. Keep in mind that all of the fountains will serve an unlimited amount of guests as long as chocolate is added as needed. If your guest count is in between say 100 and 150 you may do fine with the medium fountain if it is presented after dinner/lunch as opposed to before. If the fountain were presented before dinner/lunch you would definitely want to go with the Large, as people to tend to enjoy more dipping items when they're hungry. The key point to remember when making your decision is that "when" the fountain is presented has a big impact on the fountain size that will work out best for your event, and in turn, make for the smoothest presentation.

#3. What Dessert Item isn't Recommended to Use with the Fountain?
Anything that will break apart easily or is crumbly--especially pound cake--which tends to compromise the smooth, flowing nature of the chocolate. "The Chocolate Fountaineers" recommend a more heavenly, healthful, choice--low fat or no fat Angel Food Cake. It has a more substantial texture than the regular Angel Food Cake. Dipping items that work well include; Strawberries, Bananas, Green Grapes, Pretzels, Marshmallows, Rice Crispie Treats, non crumbly Cookies, Mini Cream Puffs, Mini Brownie Bites, Apples, Fresh Pineapple Chunks are a particular favorite!

#4. Do You Provide the Accompaniments?
We have found that many facilities do not allow outside vendors to provide food items - that is either included with your package, or an additional item for you to purchase through the facility. If this is not the case, you may have already booked a caterer to provide your event with appetizers. We've found that over 90% of our bookings do not want us to provide the food. With that in mind, our package does not include the accompaniments. Additionally, beautiful sterling silver tiered servers for the most elegant presentation of your dipping item choices, are included as a part of your rental package. We are more than happy to provide you with a detailed comprehensive shopping list based on your guest count. Tried and true dipping favorites are easily obtained at your local grocery store, and are very inexpensive. If outside food is in fact allowed at your reception location we highly recommend that you purchase the dipping items on your own, as this will save you hundreds of dollars. Placing the items on the tiered servers is extremely simple, and to pay as much as two to three dollars per guest (or more!) simply isn't necessary. We sincerely feel that buying the dipping items on your own is without a doubt, the smartest and most cost effective option.

#5. Can the Chocolate Fountain be Used Outside?
The Chocolate Fountain operates best in enclosed areas. The Chocolate has such a sweet, inviting aroma that it attracts insects and bugs. The Chocolate also must be kept at a certain temperature, and fluctuating outdoor conditions will affect the chocolate's integrity. If however your entertaining area is tented we have an attractive clear cylindrical wind guard that can be utilized. This is of course included in your rental package if needed.

#6. How Long Can I Have The Chocolate Fountain At My Event?
Our package includes 4 hours of fountain enjoyment, which is usually plenty of time for your guests to enjoy this unique experience! Should you decide to use the Fountain longer, we'll work with you.

#7. Who is Responsible for Set-Up, Tear-Down and Clean Up of The Chocolate Fountain?
Fortunately, we do all the work for you. We arrive approximately 1 hour prior to start time to ensure that your guests will smell the sweet aroma of the chocolate as they enter the room. A Chocolate Fountaineer will be there at all times keep the fountain pristine at all times. Although our attendant will be happy to assist the facility's staff concerning The Chocolate Fountain's table, the staff is ultimately responsible for replenishing the accompaniments and the general appearance of the table. Once the event is over we'll dismantle and take it away. You will only have to enjoy your event!

#8. What are the Table and Electrical Requirements?
The Chocolate Fountain requires a 120 volt grounded electrical outlet within 10 feet of the location of the Fountain. In addition, a sturdy table is mandatory. If it's not level, the chocolate will not flow properly.
Please re-confirm these requirements with your facility before the event so that there is no delay in the set-up of the fountain. In addition, the facility should provide a skirted cloth, however, if this is not possible, beautiful high end table linens and aesthetically pleasing table decorations are included in your rental package.

#10. What's Required to Reserve The Chocolate Fountain?
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. After the deposit is received with all the information about your event (date, place, time, type of event, etc.,) you will receive 2 contracts in the mail. Sign them, keep one for your records and return the other to us. The balance will then be due 2 weeks prior to your event. We want your planning to be as effortless as possible.
