Hiring Mark and his crew from Sondey Film was the best decision Mike and I made during our wedding planning.

Hardly two months away from our wedding date, Mike and I were still unsure as to whether or not we should hire a videographer. We desperately wanted to capture our special day on film but were concerned about our tight budget...especially after contacting numerous video companies and hearing what it would cost us to have just one camera covering our wedding. We decided to search the web one last time, hoping to find someone we could afford while not sacrificing quality just to save money. My husband stumbled across Mark's website, read his online bio, and was intrigued with his background and honesty. We decided to give them a call and see if they were available on such short notice.

Not only was Mark available, but the quote he provided to video our wedding was unbelievable...especially considering the fact that he said he could provide not one, not two, but three cameras for our wedding. We quickly booked Mark and arranged a day to meet with him when we returned to our home state of MI for the wedding. Shortly after booking with Mark, I received a call from his wife Cheri who mentioned that they also created photo montages and wondered if we would be interested in having one of these to play at our reception. I had been planning on putting together a montage myself but had simply run out of time. Cheri informed me that our wedding package included the montage and the equipment (including a 32 inch TV) to show the montage at the reception. All I had to do was send them the pictures that I wanted to include.

Working with Mark via e-mail (we were planning our wedding from across the country), I shared details and information about Mike and myself as well as our relationship. Mark made every effort to get to know us in order to create a photo montage that was personal, as well as to make sure that he captured our personality in the wedding video. Our first meeting with Mark and Cheri was like getting together with family. They were so open and friendly...we clicked instantly. We talked about wedding details, special moments that we wanted to make sure were captured, and final editing information. Though they couldn't attend our joint bachelor/bachelorette party, Mark offered to let us borrow his hand-held hi-definition camera to film the event and said that he would include that in our final wedding DVD. Half-way through the party, Mark showed up to surprise us by delivering a full-size poster he had created using one of my favorite photos of Mike and me with our wedding day printed right on the poster! It is this exact level of attention and commitment to service that made Mark and Cheri so wonderful to work with.

They showed up to our rehearsal in order to scout locations for their three cameras and meet the family. They even spent time helping us scout a new DJ when our original DJ fell through the night before the wedding. As we got in our cars to head to the rehearsal dinner, Cheri told me that she would be making some calls for me and to call her if there was anything else she could do to help. The day of the wedding was perfect. Mark, Cheri, and Don captured every second from the time we started getting ready to late that evening. And while we have hours upon hours of beautiful footage...I honestly don't remember seeing them at the wedding! They managed to get the most amazing footage ever while remaining practically invisible...until late that evening of course when all three of them came to hug Mike and I goodbye, thanking us for allowing them to be part of our wedding day.

Mark, Cheri, and Don-I want to thank you for all the effort and personal attention you put into making our wedding video more than I had ever imagined. When we received the final edited DVD, we cried watching it. From the poster to the montage to the extra help you offered to the final film, you consistently exhibited intense professionalism while still managing to foster a close friendship with Mike and I. I can never really express how blessed we feel to have found you...not just for your high quality of service but for your honesty, openness, and friendship.

Thank you for being available for all my frantic calls before the wedding, and for understanding when I break into your time now to rant and rave about how much I LOVE my wedding video. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to work with you, and I just hope that it somehow works out to have you around to capture the rest of the memorable moments that Mike and I have to look forward to in our life together.
