Biography
Since early childhood, Joanna Revel has had a passion for interior design and visual merchandising. Remembering nostalgically how instead of playing with her dolls and toys she would arrange and organize them as if they were on display for presentation. After successfully graduating from St. Lucy's High School in 1995, her passion for the arts and a higher education inspired her to attend Cal State University at Fullerton to pursue her degree in Communications with an emphasis in film/television. She received dean's list honors for five consecutive years and was awarded highest GPA award from her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha™.

While pursuing her degree full time, Joanna managed and served as visual artist for an upscale dress shop in Laguna Beach, California. It was the positive experience there that re-inspired her to work on her own business plan and concept for a fashion business. Joanna then started to intern with Arden B™ and Clothes Time(tm) in the visual and buying departments where she learned valuable insight on the world of fashion and its different facets. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Communications in the spring of 2000, Joanna also completed a course of study funded by the SBA where she received an outstanding achievement award in a "Starting a Business" course. After further laying the foundation with additional courses in fashion merchandising from Mt. San Antonio College and working diligently as a sales representative in the fashion eyewear business, Joanna Revel opened Blue Violet Boutique, a retro-inspired dress shop to feature local artists in Beverly Hills, California.

Blue Violet Boutique has operated for over four years and is now a successful outside sales retail business that has been featured in over 60 trade shows and events throughout the Southern California territory. Along with the retail business, Joanna diligently works in the fields of sales, development, and design of her own beauty product line.
