Joyceann, ARB's original lead singer, is one of the best known vocalist in the east Atlanta area. She started singing around 8 years old in the Reverend Alton George's (her grandfathers') church with her brothers and sisters. In high school she was a member of their traveling choir, and has since been involved in several bands, church choir, praise band, music guild, and local theatre. Married, with three children, various four legged friends, and a busy schedule,she is enjoying singing with good friends.

Tesa - lead vocals Tesa is ARB's newest member, joining the band in March of 2009. She has an exceptionally strong voice and can sing virtually any style of music. Like Joyceann, she's been singing her whole life getting started at an early age singing at church. In recent years her past performances have been at grand openings, charity events and parties. She was a regular at "The Flying Machine" for over seven years. Tesa's a classic rock fan and enjoys music by Lynryd Skynyrd, The Eagles and Aerosmith. She says that "ARB is a great fit for me" (the band is glad too!). Tesa is married and has two teenage daughters and has enjoyed being a stay at home mom for the past eighteen years.

Chad - bass and background vocals
Chad starting playing music when he was 8 years old. He joined his school band at age 9 and continued his music education throughout college. Chad graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in Music Education. He is currentlyworking on a doctorate degree. Chad has played in several bands all over the state of Georgia. He started playing bass with a jazz swing band and continued to play in blues, country, oldies and original bands.He is ARB's original bassist and joined shortly after the band's formation in December of 2005.

Zach - lead guitar
Zach, ARB's newest member, joined the band in late January of 2009. He grew up in Cumming, Georgia and is presently attending the University of Georgia. He started playing guitar when he was 14 when his father showed him his first lead licks! His first foray into music was in the youth praise band his sophmore year of high school. He then began playing in a blues and jamband called Revival for 2 1/2 years. His most recent band affiliation was with the Bobby Cool Band who frequently gigged around the Athens area. The artist and bands that influenced him the most are the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and many many more.

Jeff -acoustic and electric guitars
Jeff was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He started playing guitar when he was 12 years old and since then music has always been a big part of his life. After getting out of the Navy, he entered the law enforcement field and started playing Bluegrass music on the side in the Atlanta area. Since moving to Monroe in 1996, Jeff has played with several of the local area musicians. He and drummer, Al Smiley, talked about starting a band for two years prior to founding The Alcovy River Band in 2005. Jeff plays both acoustic and electric guitar with the band.

Al - drums
Al started playing drums at 12 years of age, taking lessons from a jazz drummer in New Orleans. His family moved to Oxford, Mississippi where he eventually studied music at the University of Mississippi. At Ole Miss he played with the orchestra, percussion ensemble, concert, marching and jazz bands. While attending college he also played local clubs with the rock band, "Truck". After 4 years, Al earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He then spent several years in Memphis, Tennessee where he joined and recorded with the country group, "Memphis Liberty Band".While living in Jackson, Mississippi, Al performed with the rock-n-roll band, "Fortune". Living in Monroe since 1995, he formed The Alcovy River Band with guitarist Jeff Lewis in October of 2005.
