My name is Steve Purinton. I live in Nashville. I am a photographer, among many other things. All images are copyrighted to either myself or my wife.

We shoot as a side business and for personal enjoyment. This site is dedicated to our photography, both personal and professional. We currently specialize in event photography, which includes corporate parties, private parties, receptions, bar- and bat-mitzvahs, and the like.

I do have several interests besides photography. Some of them are music (recorded and live, though I do not play), radio broadcasting, and wood-working.

I have been taking pictures for most of my life. Back in the school year of 1983-4 while in high school, I took one year of photojournalism under Roger Pfingston. In the Spring of 1996, I took a basic black and white photography class at MTSU under Jackie Heigle. I went on to take classes from Tom Jimison and Jim Norton. There was a class taught by Mr Harris, but it wasn't really a photo class. I studied photography at MTSU, graduating in 1999. We have been making photographs ever since as Pure Photo.
