Grandfather DeLuica brought the concept of Del's soft frozen lemonade to America at the turn of the century. Angelo DeLucia, his son, soon began working on a machine and a method to produce Del's soft frozen lemonade at a consistently excellent produce. In 1948, Del's frozen lemonade acquired its name and became the sole product sold at a little stand in Cranston, Rhode Island. Sixty years later Del's soft frozen lemonade has grown into over forty-five franchises nationwide. Now Rhode Island's award winning summertime secret has hit the sunny and sultry beaches of Miami, Florida. The people of Miami-Dade can experience the same thirst-quenching phenomenon experienced by millions.
