No, I am not anti-photography, just anti-wedding industry. Over the past 9 years, shooting weddings and other events, I've noticed that more is not necessarily better. As the business grew we ended up shooting 35 weddings a year. That's a lot of pictures to go through and I spend a good amount of time working on every wedding. Frankly, the overload was not a good thing.

Weddings began to feel like a day full of business transactions instead of meaningful moments. I love shooting weddings and I want every one of them to feel real and unrushed. That's the way it should be for you.

Case in Point: Two years ago during a wedding ceremony, I noticed that the wedding professionals of that day had completely surrounded the bride and groom. 2 photographers, 2 videographers (with 5 cameras!), the coordinator, the coordinator's assistant, and two folks waiting to release doves. Any real moments that could have happened seemed squashed. And of course, things had to be rushed along becasue the wedding mill we were at had another event that evening. It just all felt wrong.

We can talk about your wedding, you can look at our work, there's no rush. We, my wonderful wife and I, will only shoot one wedding a day, giving you all of our time and attention. That's what you deserve on such an important day. I want all of our weddings to feel like personal transactions, not business transactions.
