I went to GOOGLE.COM and typed in "wedding shower games" and several sites came up. I haven`t thoroughly checked them all out, but thought that could be a good start for you.

Poem #1
Dear Sarah, You are entering a new ERA. There will come a THYME in your marriage when you find Mark is not always MR. CLEAN, but don`t send out the S.O.S. Because he might VANISH. Mark will always bring you CHEER and you will find JOY, so remember your PLEDGE and give him your ALL. To Sarah and Mark the Best of Luck & Good Fortune in the years to come. And may Mark always be your HONEY

Household Poem #2
It is only fair that we let "Sarah" in on a little SECRET. "Mike" may be FANTASTIC but wait until she finds out that he is not MR. CLEAN. He`ll expect her to be a DYNAMO in the kitchen and he thinks all women should MOP & GLOW. At night he`ll wake you up at DAWN to SNUGGLE up close. We all AGREE that "Sarah" and "Mike" will have a very happy LIFE together. Our wish for you is that your home be filled with JOY and you remain as happy as ever in the FUTURE.

ERA is a liquid laundrey detergent, THYME a spice, and honey....is honey like you dip your chicken McNuggets in. Look for it in the spice section of the grocery store.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to ask the guests to bring these items I would like to enclose a little note in the bridal shower invitations. There are alot of older people coming and I would like to be etiquette.

Paula,
Usually the one person gets the products and places them in a basket or even a laundry basket or a small garbage can.

If you want people to bring these items you can say something like We have put together a poem to read at so&so shower and we need the folowing items to complete the poem.

Here is the poem we used at my friends shower. I like this one better than the one with thyme.

Dear Rebecca,

We gather together with you to celebrate the --1-- (dawn) of a new --2--
(era). Marriage is a journey. Some days it will be pure --3-- (joy) but
Let`s take a moment and talk about the others.

There may come a time when you realize your big --4-- (brawny) guy isn`t
Necessarily --5-- (Mr. Clean). When this and other little glitches
Occur, don`t --6-- (shout) or send up an --7-- (SOS). Go --8-- (easy-on)
Him. Hopefully the --9-- (Tide) will change quickly, tensions will
--10-- (vanish), and things will --11-- (bounce) back to normal.

We think you and Greg are a --12-- (fantastic) couple with a --13--(zest)
For life and a sincere appreciation for each other. We fully support you
As you and Greg --14-- (pledge) to spend your lives as one.

We wish you all the best... Including love, happiness and lots of time to
--15-- (snuggle).

Love,
The Bridal Party

Easy on is a spray starch that is found in the laundry aisle. It is about $1.29 a bottle. Im not sure if anyone even uses this stuff but its inexpensive so it doesnt really matter.

You wrap all 15 items and number the packages. While the bride was opening her gifts, we handed out each one to random people and told them not to open it until the bride calls her #. After all the gifts are opened, I handed her a special envelope and asked her to read it out loud. When she got to #1, the person with the package marked #1 opens it so she can fill in the blank. When I did it for my cousin, there were so may old people there and they took 4 ever to open the items. So she wrote the words down and then read it again with all the blanks filled in. SHe loved it. Good luck!!

I first came across this poem at a bridal shower many years ago and absolutely love it!! I`ve even used it for my own and other showers that I was in charge of. I am using it again this September for my future sister-in-law`s shower in California and hope it can be passed down to others. I just hope this never dies out, because it is so much fun to use at parties and such a great idea. Good luck ladies!!

Does anyone have a poem like this for a Baby Shower?
Posted by Mary; updated 06/14/07

Mary, you can search on google or yahoo and I don`t know exactly how it goes but I know it`s Mr Right and Mrs Right go to the hospital or something. There are no cleanin products but instead you pass around a baby or something and then when you say left, the players pass it left and so on and the same for right. And then you can give gifts way at each table or you can give away the centerpiece.

BABY AND MOM SHOWER GIFTS
BASKET FOR MOM
Put items in a basket for the new mother such as: Nail polish, bubble bath or body wash, bath pillow, bosy sponge, lotion, makeup item, candle, wrapped candies (not chocolate if mother is nursing) anything that will make the new mom feel pampered. Tie cellophane around basket and attach poem with ribbon.
WHEN YOU GIVE BIRTH TO A BABY,
ALL THE ATTENTION GOES TO THE CHILD.
NO ONE REMEMBERS ALL YOUR HARD WORK,
AND THE LAST NINE MONTHS THAT WERE WILD!

SO HERE`S A GIFT FOR THE NEW MOTHER,
TO REWARD YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE.
RELAX AND TAKE SOME TIME FOR YOURSELF,
AND LET DADDY WATCH YOUR LITTLE ONE.

BABY BASKET
For the baby do a basket that looks like the mom`s. In it, include: Small size baby bath, lotion, powder, washcloth, oil, bath toy or rattle with the poem, pj`s. Tie with cellophane and attach poem with baby ribbon.
YOU KNOW, I REALLY DESERVE THE ATTENTION,
SINCE I`M SO LITTLE AND CUTE.
WITH MY SOFT, PINK SKIN AND TINY HANDS,
AND A NEW BIRTHDAY SUIT, TO BOOT!

SO I`M SURE WE`LL USE THIS PRESENT,
TO HELP ME KEEP THAT YOUTHFUL GLOW.
MOM, IT`S UP TO YOU TO MAKE ME LOOK GOOD,
`CAUSE I`M ONLY A BABY, YOU KNOW!
