Daniel R. Peppel - Portraits of Life is located in Northern Virginia. He is highly regarded by many as the ultimate wedding photographer. But what makes him so ultimate?

Passion...First of all, it is his passion that he has for his photography. This passion drives him to create new and exciting photographs for each of his clients. "So many of the wedding photographers are there (at the weddings) just to get the standard shots and then move on. I'm there to create and capture the entire story and all the moments of the day. We focus on the emotion, the love and the laughter of all the parties involved. That's what a wedding is all about. The celebration of two lives coming together!"

Lighting...His lighting is very soft and subtle. Most photographers just use a flash on a camera and consider that good enough. "For all the portraits and formals we use a very soft auxiliary lighting, which enables us to mold the light to the bride and groom and then reposition the lighting for larger groups and families. This lighting technique produces an even light, so there are no harsh shadows." Dan says the lighting is so much more flattering then just a big burst of flash coming directly at you, which is going to flatten a persons features.

Style... All photographers have a certain style. Dan's style is a mix of Traditional Portraits, Candid, and Soft Romantic Environmental. Giving his clients diverse wedding day coverage.
