Wedding Bands

Since 1975, Roy Geesa has led and played for numerous bands, and when he saw the need for quality "events" musicians, he formed the Cool City Band in 1999 to deliver tasteful musical expertise to weddings both regally elegant and laid back & groovy. His one of a kind party band vision keeps him fueled with new ideas and favorites of old from the "Great American Songbook". Paying tributes to the likes of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Hoagy Carmichael, the Cool Band also loves party tunes from the horn bands of the 70s and never says "no" to the dance jams of today. Get down with Mo-Town or rock out with hits like, "Knock on Wood".

Our vocalists, Shannon Forsell and Jimmy Guilford revive decades-old classics and highlight newer grooves with their versatile voices and wide ranges. Every instrumentalist on board is well versed in every genre from Swing to Rock, and our band boasts Mike White on Trumpet, John Nelson on Alto & Tenor Sax, Dan Hughey on Trombone, John Block on the Upright Bass, and of course, Roy Geesa on Piano and up front, leading the band.
