The Nat Simpkins Band is a hot, spicy gumbo that will always satisfy your appetite for a good time! This band will have you singing, dancing, and clapping to the beat in no time at all! Nat Simpkins' bluesy "Texas Tenor" sax is a perfect compliment to the Band's bluesy sound. Their exciting stage is a rich gumbo with many spicy ingredients. Together they present all the flavors of New Orleans including: Swing, Funk, Brass Band- Second Line, R&B, Hard Bop, Latin, Blues, and Calypso. Simpkins' tenor sound is from the tough "Texas Tenor" school of the King Curtis, Gene Ammons, and Stanley Turrentine.

They performed on "Good Day America" as part of the Mardi Gras coverage this past February. They have performed at Jazzfest, Satchfest, and major venues including: Tipitinas, the House of Blues, the Lester Young Tribute in NYC, and Cecil's Jazz Club in New Jersey.
