Catering FAQs

Q: Are the prices on the catering menu for pickup or delivery? A: The prices listed are for pickup. Q: Are there any additional charges in addition to the catering menu prices? A: You will need to add tax to the prices. Also, if you want the order delivered, there will be an additional charge added to the order which will be a percentage of the total. Typically the charge is **% unless the order is going across town. Typically outside of ** miles. Q: How much advanced notice do I need to place a catering order? A: Office or Lunch Caterings for **-** people can typically be placed the day before. More elaborate or larger orders of **+ people will need about * days to one week. If you are in question, feel free to ask us. As is with any event, the more time the better. We DO specialize in working last minute orders though, so if you're in a bind, feel free to contact us, we may not be able to do any item on the menu, but we most likely can do SOME item on the menu to fit your needs. We're good like that. Q: When do you require payment? A: You will need to give a valid credit card number when you place the order. We will hold the order with the credit card until the order date. For orders of ** or more people, or special caterings, you cannot cancel the order within *-* days (depending on the order, we will determine in advance what the applicable amount of time is) or you will lose **% of the total. Q: What methods of payment do you accept? A: We accept cash, and all major credit cards. AMEX, Discover, Visa, Mastercard. Q: Do you accept checks? A: No. Not unless you have a credit account with us, and have made arrangements with management prior to placing the order. As a rule of thumb, unless you've been a customer since be fore the fire and have a history with us, we no longer accept checks, although we honor our previous relationships. Q: Do you offer any additional services with your food catering service? A: Yes. We have many relationships with party rental companies and can offer table, chair, tent, linen, jumpers or other various rentals though a third party, and include it all in your catering bid. One stop shopping! Q: How do I place the order? A: You can do it over the phone or via email. We prefer email so that we have everything in writing, and so that we can take the time necessary to service the order with the most attention. If email is unavailable, you can feel free to place the order over the phone with us. Q: I need a receipt to show for reimbursement, what can I get before the order? A: We will furnish you with a formal catering bid on Sonio's Letterhead with an itemized account of exactly what the agreed upon order is before we place the order, you can use that for reimbursement. Q: What do I need to do to start placing the order? A: Send us an email inquiry, and let us know the following information: your full name phone number date of event amount of people time of pickup (or delivery) address (if delivery) method of final payment Menu choice (with all applicable sides, where necessary) credit card number cc expiration date name on the card Q: What if I don't know some of that information?
