Our extensive repertoire lists everything from traditional pieces, to classics, to the most beloved of Broadway show tunes. The Shaw Strings can provide your wedding or other event with music from any given period, such as the gay Nineties! How about a Latin theme? A Cinderella theme can make your wedding seem magical. Plan your favorite theme and let us match the music to your dreams.

MUSICIANS

Around sixty musicians play with Shaw Strings. All are carefully selected for their musical abilities as well as their enthusiasm, working with the other musicians to make your event simply beautiful. We treat your event as though you were a member of our own family.

Music is our passion and our profession.

The musicians who play for the Shaw Strings were trained and/or have degrees from the Philadelphia area's most prestigious schools, universities and conservatories. We are proud to have them all as part of our musical family.

Though our musician list changes from time to time, we usually have available the following numbers of musicians for each instrument so that we may schedule several quartets or other groupings to meet the needs of different events on any given day:
