My interest in photography first began in my early teens, when I became fascinated with the work by the photographers of National Geographic.
This interest and fascination led to my first job as an apprentice in a photography studio in Genoa, Italy where I grew up. While working on still life and portrait photography, I spent countless hours in the darkroom learning black and white processing and printing, Cibachrome printing, and E-6 processing. My love for travel and photography led me to my next job as a cruise ship photographer, enabling me to visit and photograph most of the beautiful Caribbean Islands and Bermuda.
Following these travels, I moved to New York, where I worked for a few years in a graphic design studio and then as an Art Director for the largest Italian Ad agency in Manhattan. For many years, I used an all manual Canon F1 SLR camera and Canon lenses, shooting transparencies using mainly Velvia 50 which is my favorite media for the saturated colors. I recently moved on to digital by purchasing a Nikon Digital SLR camera.
Currently I am working as a portrait photographer in Long island, New York where I live with my husband and our two children.
