Shadiyah is a professional Middle Eastern/Belly Dance performer and singer in the Metro Washington, DC, MD and VA areas. She has been a student of dance all of her life including classical ballet, tap and jazz. She started studying the various forms of Middle Eastern Dance exclusively in 2001 and also has studied Kuchipudi, a dramatic, interpretive and lyrical form of classical Indian dance.
She studies and performs various forms of Raks Sharqi, as well as Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese, Persian and "Bollywood" styles of dance. Shadiyah fuses these beautiful art forms into a style uniquely her own. Specialties include: wings of Isis, tea tray and candle tray, shemadan (candelabra), veil, sword and cane.
Shadiyah performs weekly at several area restaurants (see the Calendar page of her website) and is available to perform for private functions including weddings, baby and bridal showers, engagements, birthday parties for adult and children, all female gatherings, graduations, Bar/Bat mitzvahs, corporate events, art galleries, cultural events, festivals, retirement homes and more!
