ABOUT JUAN:
Juan Parache has been dancing professionally for over 15 years and has a background in American Smooth and American Rhythm, Country Western and Folk. He has appeared numerous times on Television and at one time was a performer on the Broadway Stage. Locally he is well known at theaters such as Woodminster in Oakland and Stockton Civic Arts theater where he was featured in "Follies" He has competed in 12 "International Grand Ball" competitions, achieving 10 first place awards.
You will find him to be a patient, caring and knowledgeable teacher who will instill a sense of success and a desire to go on to more and varied dances. A feature of his teaching is that he emphasizes technique and not simply the dance figures. Students have said that after Juan's classes, they learn more quickly in future advanced classes and find themselves comfortable dancing with a new partner. One will always need to be able to follow and to lead whether at a community dance or a family Wedding and dance reception.
DANCE TRAINING
Juan's BA degree in Theatre Arts serves him well as a sought after DJ, specializing in Big Band style dances.
He is Certified and Accredited by D.V.I.D.A. in the American Smooth and American Rhythm Syllabus.
Juan has received his ballroom teaching training from Diane Jarmolow's "Ballroom Dance Teachers College" and many past and present champions including John Lee and Janet Dipino of "Lee's Master Series Dance instruction", Juan is committed to continue to learn from these great teachers.
He has created the choreography for many different dance events, including Quinceaneras, Cotillion Debuts and Weddings.

MISSION
Parache Ballroom Dance Studio's Mission is to have people socialize, gain confidence and meet new friends by learning to dance. We have published articles in AARP to promote public interest and support in regards to the health benefits of dancing. We want fervently to motivate people to get up off their chair and try some healthy, delightful dancing. See you out on the floor!
PRIVATE LESSONS!
If a group class is not your cup of tea or you are shy and want to advance at your own pace, private lessons will address your individual needs. You will be able to recognize what a lead is and have a basic knowledge of a dance step that will allow you participate and dance with anyone. If you have a partner, you may want to advance at a greater pace that can lead to Competition. Our students have been competing as couples and as singles, at the INTERNATIONAL GRAND BALL in San Francisco, for 2 years and they have 4 first place awards.
