Samarra is based in Boston and has been studying and performing the ancient art of Middle Eastern dance for over nine years. She has studied with many well-known Egyptian master teachers, both here and in Egypt, and studies ballet and jazz in addition to that. Samarra is also a costume designer and makes her own unique, professional-quality costumes.

Samarra has performed in clubs, restaurants, at local events, festivals and birthday parties and weddings. She enhances her Egyptian-style performances by dancing with props such as finger cymbals, veil, cane, Wings of Isis and shamedan. She also does a sword-balancing dance when performing the American Cabaret-style of the dance. Samarra has produced and performed in numerous belly dance fusion shows--a style which would be perfect for a themed event.
