Kamilah, originally from Brazil, began to dance at age six, where she mastered the arts of Jazz and Modern Ballet.
She took her first Belly Dance class, and it was love at first shimmy.
She performs incorporating the use of sword, cane and veil.
She likes to incorporate some Latin influenced hip movements, which also makes her shimmies one of a kind.
She is a member of Crescent Moon Bellydance Company which is directed by Miabella of Fort Worth, but has also learned from Master Instructors like Aziza, Ansuya, Jillina, Virginia, Fifi Abdo and Randa Kamel. Currently she studies with acclaimed Dallas Performer and Instructor Vasthi.
She has also cultivated her performance skills through extensive experience entertaining in restaurants, nightclubs, and a multitude of public and private events.
Classy, Charismatic, Energetic and full of personality are a few of the words people use to describe Kamilah on stage . She brings the fire and passion of her Brazilian background and fuses with Middle Eastern dance on her performances.
She is a exclusive house dancer at Al- Amir Dallas and Al- Amir Addison.
