Harp * All Occasions
Sara Chasse-Phillips has been involved in music since she was born. At three years old her mother started teaching her piano, dance, art, and voice. From there she continued to grow in the arts with professional teachers. When her family moved from Virgina Beach, where her father was serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy, to Bloomington, Indiana Sara continued her training. Being in a college town she began pre-college choir, piano, and harp lessons. She began studying the harp with Elzbieta Szmyt and attended summer master classes with Susan McDonald at Indiana University.
Being in a busy college town there was plenty of concerts to see and Sara would attend orchestra, choir, broadway musicals, jazz band, and solo concerts almost everynight. In addition to learning the harp, piano, dance, and voice, Sara also studied violin, trumpet, and flute under some of the most renowned artists of her time.

In the summer of **** and **** she served as a counselor at Hartwick Music Festival in New York where she earned a full tution scholarship and played harp under the direction of Skitch Henderson (renowned conductor/pianist of the New York Pops). Sara has held many youth orchestra positions as principal harpist throughout her career.
In **** Sara moved with her husband, Frederick, to Riverside, California to study music. Here she continued her harp business that she once ran with her sister back in Bloomington, Indiana. Since **** Sara has played with professional choirs in Palm Springs. She has played for numerous wedding ceremonies and other special occasions all throughout Southern California.
Sara has majored in music at numerous Universities including Ball State University, University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, and California Baptist University.
