I'm an ordained minister (think Rev. Camden on Seventh Heaven) working for the last five years as a wedding officiant. I do both non-denominational, and "civil" ceremonies - and sometimes more traditional religious ceremonies. It all depends on what you want. I will meet with you to get acquainted and develop some important chemistry - and to discuss all the details so that we avoid any wedding day surprises. Whether your affair is big or small, traditional or not, next week or next year – I can help. (I do plenty of travelling too, so don't worry about that.)
Going on the internet to find someone to officiate at one of the most important days of your life can be a little frightening and intimidating. (You don't want to end up with Rev. Lovejoy from the Simpsons, do you?) I know this, and I do everything I can to help you to relax. Part of that is letting you know about me. As a start, let me just say that I'm a normal person who cares about people. My only agenda is that you have a wedding ceremony that you, your family and your guests will love. If you ask me to do your wedding, I promise to give you lots of TLC, to be a professional, and to do everything I can to make your wedding just what you want it to be.
You could describe my style as relaxed, conversational and heart-felt. My goal is to plan with you so that your wedding reflects you and what you like. You're not the same as every other couple, and your ceremony shouldn't be either. I'm equally comfortable in Central Park with the couple and two witnesses - or at an Oheka Castle wedding with *** guests. My twenty years of experience in the ministry, and five as a full-time wedding officiant, have prepared me to think on my feet and be able to handle the unexpected. I've done weddings at most of the usual venues - lots of places, so I know them and they know me.
