My love of the still image goes all the way back to my early childhood when someone left a Polaroid camera (remember those?) on a table just with in reach of my tiny hands. The images magically appearing when I shook the print like an Etch N' Sketch in reverse. Fast forward ** years and I'm working with under privileged youth in San Jose. All around me meaningful moments were passing and I had no way of documenting them, holding them in time. I picked up my first "real" camera and an untapped passion came alive with in me. I soon moved on to photographing people on the street, seeking what Henri Cartier-Bresson described as that "Decisive Moment." Inevitably I would be asked by friends to photograph their weddings - which I would always decline. When I finally gave in and shot a wedding for a friend to my surprise I found that I LOVED photographing weddings. There are so many amazing images, once in a life time moments to be captured!

I love photographing weddings. They are full of joy and tears and rare candid moments. Technical skill is rarely enough to capture these moments. You want a photographer who has an intuitive gift for seeing the moments as they happen.

You want a photographer who will shoot your wedding because they are genuinely interested in you and your story and telling it through images.

When I photograph your wedding I have you and your story in mind. I'm eternally curious about people and am intuitive by nature and it shows in my images.

I draw my inspiration from documentarians like Dorothea Lange and Henri Cartier-Bresson. For me the meanest thing anyone could say about my images is that they look like every other wedding images.
