Currently in Residence at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, LYRA began as an opportunity for artistry for musicians in the Atlanta area to play chamber music together. Under the guidance of the husband and wife team, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra violinists Judith Cox and Raymond Leung, it has blossomed in the past decade into one of the most successful and far- reaching classical music resources in the city of Atlanta. A string quartet-based group, LYRA promotes chamber music performance, education, and community service throughout the Southeast. This service is not a part of the non-profit activities of LYRA, Inc., although a portion of the accrued fee is allocated to fund the much needed LYRA, Inc. community projects.
