The Tanglewood Puppets
Mac McCord is a puppeteer, artist and animator living in the Raleigh NC area. He has performed puppet shows since childhood and began a serious study of puppetry while an art and sculpture student at San Jose State University in San Jose CA in the late 1960's. He became a member of the Puppeteers of America and the San Francisco Bay Area Puppeteers Guild.
Moving to Tennessee in 1971, he worked for a number of years for Tom Tichenor and the Nashville TN Main Library. He also took his own hand puppet theatre to the 12 branch libraries around Nashville doing Story Hours. He freelanced his shows at schools and homes all over Middle TN.
The Army called and he took time out for a career as an Army Bandsman. Now in North Carolina, he is continuing his artistic career at the School of Communication Arts in Wake Forest. The Tanglewood Puppets, featuring a new theater, original shows and a zany cast of characters, are available for parties, festivals and other joyous occasions.

$75.00 for the Raleigh-Durham area
Regular rates: $100 to $200 depending on location and length of show.
