In Tennessee you can literally apply for a marriage license, receive the license on the spot, and be married the same day. This does not diminish the significance of the process. Like anything of great importance, it has its potential pitfalls. That's where we come into the picture. To further save you valuable time and money, upon receipt of your deposit or payment in full, we will provide you with the actual Application for Marriage License form, the Premarital Counseling Completion form and instructions, as well as sample wedding vows. You can choose your vows from the samples, edit a sample vow or write your own.

We see that your paperwork is properly filed within one business day of your marriage. Soon after you will receive by mail a certified copy of your wedding certificate. This is the official document you will need in order to change the bride's last name should she choose to take the last name of the groom. Nothing is needed other than this document and good old common sense in changing the bride's last name. The only time you will be asked to relinquish your certified copy is when filing for a new passport. Other than this, do not surrender your certified copy to the agency changing the last name.
