Profile

You are reading this because you have a wedding in your future. You want a wedding that will elicit compliments from your guests, and one that you will be happy with and will suit you just right. You want both a great ceremony and an officiant you are pleased with. I hope you would find that person in me.

What are some of the expectations you have for someone who will conduct your wedding:

1: You want an officiant with experience and credentials. After graduation from college, I completed a three year seminary program and became an ordained minister in the Protestant tradition. Later I earned a doctoral degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. I am fully accredited as a wedding Officiant and have conducted over a thousand weddings in my career. I can be seen on television in reruns of "My Fair Wedding" featuring a wedding entitled "Jennifer" (WE Channel)

2: You want an officiant who will not impose or intrude his/her religious views on you, or on the other hand, will not dismiss your religious tradition in any way. Many couples I have married have no interest in a religious element in their wedding, and that is just fine with me. It is your wedding, not mine, and you get to determine what is in that wedding, totally. If you meet with me, you can be assured you will feel no pressure, whether you are non-religious, or from another faith, or any other reason.

3: You want an officiant who conducts a ceremony that is warm and personal, yet dignified and appropriate to such an important event. You want to avoid an officiant who attempts to be a comedian, or one who conducts your ceremony as if it were a funeral! I officiate in a fashion that is "balanced", that has the right balance of personal and meaningful.

4: You are looking for someone who will provide you with printed ceremonies to choose from. Upon contacting me, I will send you either by Email or the USPO copies of a Christian wedding, a General Religious and Interfaith ceremony, and a civil (nonreligious language) ceremony. You may edit and change the ceremony of your choice as you wish.

5: You are looking for an officiant whom you can meet with face to face if you so desire. I can discuss your wedding with you at my home overlooking the Long Island Sound in Bayville. Usually, my meetings with bride and groom take a half hour or a little longer. I do not do marriage counseling; we are there to plan your wedding service. A meeting with me is not required; it takes place only if you ask for it.

6: You want an officiant who's fee is reasonable, and I am sure you will agree that mine is. Remember, what you are paying for is not only your wedding day. It includes the ceremonies that have been written and edited over the years; the planning for your "wedding with you, the travel to the wedding venue, the clerical details of record keeping; and the handling of the marriage license.

  Wonderful Officiant!
Reverend Bosch actually married one of my best friends, and as I stood in the bridal party, I loved his tone, what he had to say, and how he said it. So, two years later, when I got married, we met with him in his home (he is beyond lovely) and went over our options. He let me customize the ceremony to make it fit us 'just right', and on the day - of, he navigated perfectly how to get done what he needed (going over the ceremony with us, signing the papers, and payment) without being obtrusive in any way. He is and understanding, kind, and special man. I recently referred another friend to him as well. Side note-- we were married out in Montauk, and his traveling there was not a problem, which was something I was worried about with having a wedding so far out East.
  Our wedding
Reverend Bosch was our wedding officiant in September 2013 at the Coral House. We had a few conversations before the wedding, he went over all the details, he personalized out ceremony for us, and was overall wonderful!!!
