This "Legendary Casinos" was formed in 1994 by John Jerd, the original drummer for "Gene Hughes & The Casinos" who recorded the hit song "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" in 1967. Gene, the original vocalist and band leader later became a promoter of country music in Nashville and worked for the largest labels until his death in 2004.

Some of the original members became "The Casinos", out of Cincinnati Ohio. The remaining members became the "Legendary Casinos" in Southern California.

John retired from performing in 2005 and is currently the booking agent for the "Legendary Casinos". The Legendary Casinos include all the members from "Brown Sugar" plus a full horn section and keyboard.

The group perform's under both names depending on the request of our client and the size of the band.

The "Legendary Casinos" perform at larger venues such as corporate events, casinos, street fairs, conventions, concerts, large private parties & weddings.

In addition to the music of "Brown Sugar", the "Legendary Casinos" perform a wide variety of music types including, 50's, 60's, 70's, doo wop, Motown, disco, rock & roll, rhythm & blues, blues, funk, big band, swing, cha cha and country.
