Reverend Marcia Boyer, Ordained Minister
Marcia has a BS in Elementary Education and Special Education, along with training in Suzuki and Montessori Education. After teaching in various public and private educational settings for over eighteen years, Marcia became ordained as a nondenominational minister in ****. She then facilitated ministerial training coursework, workshops, and seminars for other ministers around the country and the world. She began officiating for wedding couples in ****, and found that one of her real joys is to co-create a personalized ceremony and then hold a space of love and peace for her couples as they begin their married life together. Marcia has lived in the Lake Geneva area for the past three years, and continues to expand her wedding ministry by officiating ceremonies throughout WI and northern IL. She also facilitates courses on relationship enhancement, and other spiritual classes and workshops. When not officiating wedding services, you can find Marcia swimming happily like a fish in Geneva Lake, or spending time with her grown daughter Jen who is a total joy and light in her life.
Reverend Michael Lyon, Ordained Minister
Michael has a Masters degree in Germanisk, and not only speaks German fluently but lived in Europe as a highly successful businessman for many years. He also was a member of the civilian US Forces in Europe where he was a Master Teacher for * years. He became an ordained minister in ****, and co-founded the Miracles Prisoner Ministry, where he developed the International Recovery Correspondence Course Course, which he has actively taught in the WI prison system since ****. Michael is also a chef extraordinaire, creating culinary delights for all who know him. His gentle and joyful personality and his infectious laughter are qualities that our wedding couples really enjoy in Michael.
Reverend Joan Lea, Ordained Minister
Joan's educational background is AAS in Applied Sciences, Major in Special Populations.
She was the founder of New Christian Church in ****. She became an ordained minister in May of ****, and is co-founder of Miracles Prisoner Ministry, established in ****, where she developed the International Recovery Correspondence Course and actively taught within the WI prison system since ****. Joan now lives in Lake Geneva, and thoroughly enjoys officiating for couples as they begin their married life together. She also loves spending time with her three young grandsons. Her bubbly bright personality is a joy to behold and her presence lights up a room when she enters it.
