Zahira's Bellydance style is Egyptian and Cabaret with South American and Flamenco influence. She has been lucky enough to study with some of the top Egyptian bellydancers in the world while traveling in Egypt and the UK.
She studies several Bellydance styles and likes to mix and match to keep her bellydancing repertoire interesting, Zahira's strong point is improvisation, her bellydance performances include veil, cane, zills, shammadan (candelabra) drum solos (with live drummer if requested) and Isis wings.
Zahira can perform the traditional middle eastern wedding procession (zeffe) using a shammadan (candelabra) if requested, to make your wedding day extra special! A zeffe band and additional dancers can be arranged by Zahira at an additional cost and accompany the couple and Zahira for a more elaborate entrance to your wedding reception!
Zahira only performs for women or mixed audiences. Bellydancing events in Washington DC and Virginia mainly but will travel outside if requested.
A bellydancer is perfect for multicultural charity events, weddings, Birthdays, Mendhi nights, hen nights, Middle Eastern events, Indian events, Egyptian events, Lebanese, Iranian Events and Turkish events.
