"Capturing Moments that Matter"

Ronald Pollard is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana where he was raised with his * brothers and sisters. At the age of *, Pollard became entranced by a device older brother Sidny brought home from school. The shiny, silver metal Pentax camera opened the child's mind to something, until then, he had not known was possible: freezing memories.

It was not until adulthood that Pollard's passion for photography began to manifest in his professional experience. A graduate of Oakwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Theology and a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University, his life work engaged him in Christian ministry. With his love of photography never far from the surface of his consciousness, Pollard continued to capture images in his travels as a minister. In ****, he was hired for his first professional shoot.

The subject was a man whose face had been wrinkled and worn by time. Pollard shot him in black and white. It was this photo that would be the genesis of his career as a professional portrait photojournalist and lifestyle photographer.

Over the years Pollard has photographed the people and sights of Australia, New Zealand, England, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Canada, and Mexico. Through the eye of his lens, he has arrested life in all its forms. Yet, his mission remains true to his * year old self; he is committed to freezing the memories and transitional moments – like graduations and weddings – that shape the human experience.

Pollard donates his time and talent to humanitarian efforts, including an organization he founded that takes inner-city youth on missionary trips to Africa. His work was recently donated to Restoring Bamburi, a philanthropic cause that raises money for sexually abused teen girls residing in a Kenyan orphanage.

He is married to Lindsay and the two are parents to daughter Cidny Miche and son Cerron Kenneth.
