Golden Rainbow Ranch is a non profit organization, offering an ideal country environment for hands-on farm and nature activities. Families, youth groups, school field trips, and kids who have special needs are welcome to visit this beautiful 10 acre farm in Brooksville, FL.
Ali and Dave Baylor are two enthusiastic teachers who have taught for many years in the public school realm. Join them for a tour of the farm, where you will sit under a 300 year old oak tree and watch the horses graze peacefully. Take a tractor pulled hay-ride. Frolic in the pasture with the goats, their playful kids, and four adorable miniature poodles. Watch the antics of Sammy and Suzie, the goat guard dogs. Feed the cows. Brush the miniature horses and Turnip, our miniature donkey. Enjoy the sounds of nature in an idyllic setting far from the stress of everyday life.
Microscopes are available for viewing interesting natural artifacts, such as cow bones and teeth, pond water and its many one celled creatures, or the delicate fronds of a fern.
Groups are welcome to join Ali in creating nature oriented arts and crafts projects in our air-conditioned nature center. Make bird houses and feeders while learning about the birds in the area, or create stationery from recycled paper and pressed flowers.
Call now (Or use the "book an event" button) to set up a family visit, birthday party, or field trip. We suggest a 10 dollar donation per person. Certain groups, especially those with special needs, may come for free – just ask.
