Greg has provided thousands of lectures / programs over a span of 35 years. During a 10 year employment with the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC), an environmental education non-profit in Roswell, GA), Greg first went to work for the center as a naturalist. His objectives were to develop and present hands-on nature programs, mainly to elementary aged students
Teaching 3 or 4 daily classes resulted in thousands of hours of program time and all programs terminated with a live snake or bird of prey. Young students left the center in a state of excitement and thus a foundation was set in promoting stewardship for nature. After leaving CNC, Greg went to work as an expedition leader for International Expeditions, an eco-tourism company, where he worked for 12 years. This work took Greg to many of the world's greatest wildlife destinations and some years, he presented environmental interpretation on all 7 continents, traveling as much as 7 months out of the year. During this time, he also worked with student workshops in Costa Rica and in the Peruvian Amazon.
This foundation in presenting programs and lectures provides Greg with a tremendous gift of teaching and it is greatly apparent in his enthusiasm he portrays during programs.
"There is no better way to excite people, especially children, to the incredible wonders that our natural world provides than by opening their eyes in wonderment with a close yet very safe encounter with a living animal".
